DANVERS – Ms. Ingeborg (Bauer) Cann, 81, of Danvers passed away peacefully on Friday, June 16th, 2023 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. She was raised and educated in Hof, Germany.

Ms. Cann attended university in Germany, where she obtained her certification in nursing and lab work. When she immigrated to the United States she began work as a lab technician in the biotech industry, working for various companies before she retired. In 1976, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Salem State College.

Ingeborg was a person of faith, and a member of the Northshore Community Baptist Church, where she was also a member of various church groups. She loved to knit, and would often donate hats to cancer units for patients. Ingeborg also loved nature, and loved the hard work that she put into her garden.

Ingeborg is survived by her son, Eric Cann of Danvers, her brother, Thomas Bauer of Germany, and her sister-in-law, Sharon Cann. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Isa Cann. She was the daughter of the late Emmi and Gerhard Bauer.
