SALEM- Mrs. Irene (Palmer) Bochynski, 101, of Salem beloved wife of the late John Bochynski, passed away suddenly on December 29th, 2022, at her home with her daughter and son-in-law at her side.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Stanislawa (Klimowicz) Palmer. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.

Mrs. Bochynski began her career at the Bleachery in Peabody working as a clerk and bookkeeper. Following her marriage, she along with her husband were the proprietors of Bochynski Insurance Company a successful insurance company which they ran for many years.

A talented artist, Irene's favorite medium was painting watercolors. Many of her beautiful paintings are displayed proudly on the walls of many family members and friends. She also used her artistic talents along with her green thumb to produce some of the most amazing gardens.  Blessed with a great sense of humor, Irene made friends easily. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose hallmark will be her compassion for others, her love for her family and that easy going smile that endeared her to many.

Surviving Irene are her daughters, Patricia Wright, and her husband, Robert with whom she resided in Salem, Joan Barber and her husband, William of Landenberg, PA and her son, John "Jack" Bochynski and his wife, Kim of Peabody, her grandchildren, Bradley Wright and his wife, Courtney and their daughter, Alexis of Washingtonville, NY, Taylor Wright and her family of Lynnfield, Kate Barber and her husband, John of Redmond, WA and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at O'Donnell's Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM on Tuesday January 3rd, 2023, at 11:30 A.M.
