SALEM - Jack J. Taymore, 86, of Salem, formerly of Swampscott, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 24, 2026. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Jack was born on March 27, 1940 in Cambridge. Jack proudly served in the United States Air force. Jack will be remembered for his well-known sandwich shop, his love of golf, his support of Swampscott athletics, and his generosity. He loved his family deeply and they loved him deeply in return. Jack is survived by his wife, Cyndy Taymore of Salem; their children who all reside in Swampscott, Jed Taymore (Jen Taymore), Marit Young (Jon Upton) and Samantha Taymore. He is also survived by his grandchildren Avery Upton, Alice Dunn, and Ben Dunn. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Adele Taymore, and his sister, Sandy Weinstein.   

ARRANGEMENTS:  A graveside service will be held at Swampscott Cemetery, Essex St. Swampscott on Tuesday, June 30th at 11 A.M. A celebration of Jack’s life will follow at Gerry 5, 210 Beacon St., Marblehead from 12:00 to 4 P.M. Assisting the family with the arrangements is O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., Salem.
