MIDDLETON- Mr. James Dana Mulholland, Jr., 61, of Middleton, beloved husband of Heidi Lee (Evans) Mulholland died January 25, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers surrounded by his loving family.

Born in New Bern, NC, he is the son of James D. and Claire M (McCormick) Mulholland, Sr. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School, class of 1970. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1970 to 1972. He furthered his studies at North Shore Community College and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Salem State University, where he served as editor of both the North Shore Community College and Salem State University newspapers. Jim was also a member of Phi Alpha Theta in recognition of his attainments and scholastic abilities in the field of history.

Mr. Mulholland had been employed with Endicott College for the past ten years as a Lieutenant in the campus security force. He was previously associated with the Sears Company as the parts and repair manager for twenty years.

A long-time resident of Middleton, Jim spent his spare time with art and poetry and writing books. He also enjoyed gardening of both flowers and vegetables, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Jim was a dedicated son, husband, father and brother, who will be deeply missed by all.

In addition to his wife of over 33 years James is survived by his son Bryan Mulholland of Salem, and his three daughters Amy Mulholland of Danvers, Katie Mulholland and Holly Mulholland, both of Middleton, his sisters, Mary Ann Wall and her husband Kevin of Amesbury, Karen Farrell and her husband Mark of Randolph and his brother Peter M. Mulholland and his wife Dianna of Merrimack, NH, and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62), Danvers, Wednesday, January 30th at 10 A.M.. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton. Visiting hours Tuesday, January 29th from 4 to 7 PM.
