PEABODY – Mrs. Jane Ellen McDonald (Walsh), 81, of Peabody passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15th, 2022 in the Pilgrim Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.
Born in Winthrop, she was the daughter of the late David and Helen (Laurano) Walsh. Jane was the wife of Robert McDonald, with whom she celebrated 59 years of marriage.
Mrs. McDonald was a graduate of Fitton High School in East Boston. She later moved to Salem where she started her family with Robert. Jane was skilled in sewing and other forms of arts and crafts. Family and faith were extremely important. Jane was a member of Saint Mary's Italian Church in Salem, where she was a eucharistic minister and CCD teacher. Later in life she doted on her beloved grandchildren. She would go to all their sporting events, and she would make her presence known as she cheered them on.

McDonald and his wife, Cindy of Stoughton, Deborah McDonald and her life partner, James Bovio of Peabody, and Roberta Butters of Beverly.
