DANVERS -Mrs. Jane H. (Williamson) Callahan, 82, of Danvers, beloved wife of the late Arthur Joseph Callahan, died at Lahey Medical Center, Burlington on March 13, 2015.

She was the devoted daughter of the late David V. and Helen (McMahon) Williamson. Born in Salem in 1932, she was raised in Peabody. She graduated from the Thomas Carroll Grammar School and also Peabody High School, Class of 1950.

Mrs. Callahan was employed for twenty seven years as a communications clerk for the Yellow Pages Department of the New England Telephone Co.,NYNEX in Lynn and Middleton. She retired in 1991 and used her benefit of free telephone calls to the max.

Jane was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend. She shared her time, talent, and treasures with everyone. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting and then giving the products away. Even Sophie, the dog, received a sweater to wear this winter. She enjoyed going to the Polish Club to play "polski" and to Foxwood and Twin Rivers, playing the penny slots. She won more often than she lost.

Jane was a "people person" and had a membership in several organizations, such as the Telephone Pioneers, Quilting Club, Council on Aging in Peabody and Danvers, and the Polish Club of Danvers. She was loved by all and will be sorely missed.

Surviving her are two step-daughters, Charlotte Louvat and her husband Kenny of ME, Patricia Kellner and her husband Christopher of Florida, two step-sons, Michael Callahan of Beverly, and Mark Callahan of New Hampshire, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a brother David V. and his wife Elaine of Danvers and several nieces and nephews.
