MIDDLETON - Mrs. Janet J. (Mallett) Meade, 80 of Middleton, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Salem she was the daughter of the late Earl and Dorilda (Doiron) Mallett. Raised and educated in Salem, she was a graduate of Salem High School.

Mrs. Meade had been employed by General Electric as a line manager for many years.

Janet was a phenomenal mother, sister, aunt and friend to those she loved. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her heart. Jan thought nothing of opening her home to those that needed family and a place to feel loved if even for a day. She taught her children strength, morals, humility and the best lesson of all, unconditional love. She will always be a shining beacon to those whose lives she has touched. She will be greatly missed. Janet is survived by her children; Keith Meade of Danvers, Lisa Caines of Middleton and Vikki Larocque of Maine, her 2 grandchildren; Shayna Larocque of Maine and Darien Friend of Winthrop, her sister, Dawn Page of New Hampshire and several nieces and nephews.
