MIDDLETON - Mrs. Janice J. (Hodsdon) Osgood, 82 of Middleton, beloved wife of the late Donald Osgood, passed away on Monday, October 16th, 2023 at Beverly Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born in Monson, MA, she was the daughter of the late Chester F. and Helen L. (Perkins) Hodsdon. She was raised and educated in Lynn.

Following her marriage, Janice and Donald settled in Middleton where they raised their family. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, family was paramount in her life. Janice raised her children and grandchildren in a warm and loving home where she gave selflessly every day to ensure her family always felt loved and supported. Janice was outgoing, she loved life and loved to laugh. She instilled her core values in her family; kindness,  generosity, and tolerance to others. Janice was an active member of the Senior Center, she loved crafting, knitting and crocheting and would share her creations with family and friends. Most of all she enjoyed family camping trips to Amesbury especially with her beloved husband.

Surviving Janice are her sons, Gary Osgood and his spouse, Russell Silva of Osprey, FL, Glenn Osgood of Middleton and James Osgood and his spouse, Lisa of Middleton, her grandchildren, Cyle Osgood, Amber Osgood and Ryan Osgood and his spouse, Justyne, her great-grandchild, Finn, her siblings, Carol Reddy and her husband James of Lynn, Shirley Buslovich of Rochester, NH and Donald Hodsdon and his wife Mary Lou of Exeter, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Pamela Osgood.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Friday, November 3rd at 11 AM. Burial in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton. There will be a short visitation prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM.
