DANVERS - Mrs. Jean M. (Konieczny) Parent 60, of Danvers, beloved wife of Phillip Parent, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Beverly Hospital. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Gertrude (Terentowicz) Konieczny. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1976. Jean was a loving wife who devoted herself to her family. She will be deeply missed. A longtime resident of the Town of Danvers, Jean was an avid collector of Asian artifacts and antiques. She was a talented crafter and artist who enjoyed making keepsakes for her family and friends. She loved the winter season and spending time with her friends and family. Her family was of the utmost importance to her and she was always willing to help those in need. She was deeply devoted to her husband, sister, brother and nieces and nephews who affectionately called her "Iya". Jean is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Phillip Parent of Danvers, her sister Joyce Racki and her husband Paul of Danvers, her brother, Bob Konieczny and his wife Linda of Sandown, N.H., her nieces, Kelly Racki-Mahan and her husband Dustin, Katie Racki, Kimberly Racki, Amber, Makayla, Morgan, Madison and Mariah, her nephews, Craig and Corey Archambault both of Salem, her great nieces, Lux Mahan, Elisha and Isabella Racki and Delilah, her great nephews, Felix Racki, Bronson Mahan, Christopher and Jameson, her sister-in-law, Carolyn Archambault and her husband Daniel of Salem, her brother-in-law, Scott Parent and his fiancé Kimberly Butterfield of Salem.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Tuesday, April 4th at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours Monday, April 3rd from 5 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Jean's memory to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241.
