Jeanne E. (MacKinnon) Myers

DANVERS - Jeanne Earl Myers, 97, a longtime resident of Danvers, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life rich in love, family, and meaningful connections.

Jeanne was the beloved wife of the late George Conklin Myers. Together, they shared many years filled with companionship, laughter, and community. In her later years, she continued to carry his memory close to her heart, especially through the simple joys they once shared, including their time spent playing beano and enjoying the friendships it brought into their lives.

Jeanne devoted much of her life to her family, who remained at the center of everything she did. She is survived by her children: Steven and his wife, Debra; Richard and his wife, Lori; and Jeffrey and his husband, David. She was preceded in death by her sons Thomas and George and is also survived by George’s wife, Corrina, and Thomas’s wife, Joanne. Jeanne was a devoted grandmother to Kimberly, Daniel, Allissa, Jacquelyn, Thomas Jr., Alexandra, Scott, Lorena, and Brandon, and a proud great-grandmother to many. She took great joy in watching her family grow and in being surrounded by those she loved.

In addition to her dedication to family, Jeanne worked for many years as a high school cafeteria worker, where she was known for her kindness, consistency, and genuine care for the students she served. Her warm personality left a lasting impression on generations of students, many of whom fondly remember her affectionate humor and the way she might lovingly call them a “rotten kid” with a smile.

Outside of work, Jeanne was an active and cherished member of her church community. She found great joy in singing in the choir and sharing her voice in worship, where her presence added warmth and spirit to the congregation. Her faith and community involvement were an important part of her life and reflected her generous and caring nature.

Jeanne will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and, most importantly, through the family she so deeply cherished. She leaves behind a lasting example of the importance of family, faith, kindness, and togetherness.
