DANVERS - Jeffrey Samuel Adkison, 37, of Danvers, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, July 19th, 2023. Jeffrey lost his long, courageous battle with substance use.

Born in Danvers, he was the son of Gary and Cathy (Salmonsen) Adkison. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School. Jeffrey continued his education receiving his associate degree from Northshore Community College.

Jeffrey used his kind soul and caring heart to work within the outpatient mental health community, serving others each day.  In addition, while living in Florida, Jeffrey worked for an organization in which he assisted and supported others through their recovery journey.

A loving and doting son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Jeffrey loved cooking for family and friends and enjoyed a good bowling match. He was fiercely loyal to the people he cared about most. He could be seen rocking the coolest shoes and serving up his signature dishes such as macaroni and cheese at each family function. Jeffrey was a New England sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

Surviving Jeffrey, in addition to his loving parents, are his brother, Steven Adkison, and his wife, Deanna of Beverly, his paternal grandmother, Elaine Adkison of Fullerton, CA, his maternal grandfather, Richard Salmonsen of Danvers, his nephews, Elliott and Alexander Adkison of Beverly, his aunts and uncles, Rick, Mark, Steve, Julie and Linda, and his cousins, Breezy, KK, Woody, Mycala, Hanna, Anders, Michael, Johnny, Cassie, Carly, Bill, Adam, & John. He was predeceased by his loving Nana, Irene Salmonsen, and Grandfather, John Adkison.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Friday, July 28th, 2023 at 12:30 P.M. Visiting hours prior to the funeral from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. (noon).
