Obituary

DANVERS - Sergeant Major Jeffrey A. Turner, 64, of Danvers, a distinguished and decorated United States Marine, beloved husband of Susanne Turner, passed away unexpectedly on July 14th, 2024 at home with his wife by his side.

Born on April 13th, 1960 in Milo, Maine, he was the son of the late Harold and Barbara (Long) Turner. After graduating from Penquis Valley High School in 1978. Jeff answered his country's call and served with honor in the United States Marine Corps.  Jeff's commitment to his country and fellow service members was unwavering. The meticulous attention to detail and consistent dedication that defined his twenty-five years of military service continued to influence every aspect of his life and left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

After Retiring from the USMC in 2004, Jeff transitioned to civilian life and graduated "Suma Cum Laude" from Salem State University. He then founded "Semper Fi Builders". He poured his heart and soul into his work, ensuring that his business reflected the same level of discipline and excellence he exhibited during his military career.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Jeff was a devoted family man and a loving husband to his wife, Susie. They were one month shy of celebrating 38 years of marriage. He took immense pride in his role as father to his son Jeffrey and daughter Jacqueline, and adored every moment spent with his six grandchildren whom he affectionately referred to as his "Squishables".

Jeff was not only dedicated to his family and career but also to his community. As a Past Master of the Charles C. Dame Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Georgetown, he exemplified the values of friendship, service and integrity. Additionally, he found joy in meeting friends for his morning DD coffee, visiting his friends at the local gas station, hunting deer, vegetable gardening, spending time on his cherished pontoon boat with family & friends for a 3-hour cruise out onto the Atlantic every summer weekend. One last act of duty was being an organ donor to help make someone else's life better.
