MOUNT HOLLY, NC - Joan Ann (Driscoll) Bick, 75, of Mount Holly, North Carolina, formerly of Salem, passed away on January 21, 2026 surrounded by love, leaving behind a family who meant everything to her.
Joan was the cherished daughter of Jim and Gert (Guy) Driscoll, and a beloved sister to her brother, Michael Driscoll, and her sisters, Mary Sousa and Fran Nutting-Goudreau. She shared a lifetime of love with her devoted husband, Michael Bick, and was a proud and loving mother to her sons, Sean and Peter, who were the joy of her life. She was also a devoted grandmother to her three beloved grandchildren, Kylie, Jack, and Tori, who brought her endless happiness, and she is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Michele.
Joan was known for her warmth, kindness, and the way she made people feel welcome and cared for. Her love for her family was constant and generous, and her presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to those around her. A natural caregiver, Joan worked as a nurse for several years, dedicating herself to helping others, before continuing her career with the City of Salem, where she worked for many years and from which she retired. In every role she held—both professionally and personally—Joan gave selflessly and with compassion.
She created a home filled with love and leaves behind countless memories that will be treasured forever.
Joan will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
