Obituary

HAMPTON, N.H. - Mr. John Joseph Francis, III "Johnny Bronco", 79, of Hampton, N.H. beloved husband of Joyce M. (Ashburn) Francis died Nov. 19, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Gloucester, he was the son of the late John Joseph, Jr. and Catherine Mar- garet (Ruth) Francis. He was raised and educated in Gloucester and was a graduate of Gloucester High School.

An honorably discharged veteran, John served his coun- try as a member of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War achieving the rank of 1st Class Petty Officer in less than three years.

Mr. Francis had been employed as a tool maker in the machine industry for many years on the North Shore. He was a gifted craftsman and talented carpenter.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fly fishing and most of all country music. His fishing prowess was well known and he was youngest Ameri- can to fish on Sable Island in Canada at the age of 14. He was loved tremendously and will be missed deeply.

In addition to his beloved wife, John is survived by his daughter, Cindy Royea and her husband, Michael of Meredith N.H.; Joyce's children, Kimberley Leuven and her husband, Andre of Hampton, N.H., Scott Ouellette, of Salem and Michael Ouellette and his wife, Melissa of Salem; his grandchildren, Jackie Griffin and her husband, Clint "Grif", Mark Royea, Kendall and Luke Leuven, Alexandra, Coleman and Quinn Ouellette; his great-grandchildren, Dylan and Logan; his siblings, Donald Francis and his wife, Patricia of Magnolia, Richard Francis and his wife, Linda, Roger Francis and his wife, Tammy and Muriel Moore all of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte 62), Danvers, Friday from 4 to 7 P.M. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in John's memory to the Rockingham VNA & Hospice, 137 Epping Rd., Exeter, N.H. 03833.
