MIDDLETON - Mr. John J. "Killer" Killelea 64 of Middleton, beloved husband of Marianne (Hornsby) Killelea, died Wednesday, July 31st, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late John J. and Phyllis (Sheridan) Killelea. He was raised and educated in Boston, MA, Nashua, New Hampshire and Lincroft, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Christian Brother's Academy in New Jersey and continued his education attending Dayton University in Ohio.

Mr. Killelea began his professional career with the former Eastern Airlines and more recently he had been employed by EMCOR. At the time of his illness he was employed by Novartis as a building and property manager.

A loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, John was a member of the "Real Mens' Club" of Middleton, the "Sweethearts Club" and the Italian American Bocce Club of Lynn. He enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to his yard and working on his bocce court. He found any excuse to host pig roasts and Bocce & Bloody Mary parties with his family and friends. Family was paramount in John's life. "Mr. Fix-It" was always working on a new project, whether it was building an ice skating rink for his kids, setting up a soccer backboard or designing modifications to his son's wheelchair that he couldn't find in any catalog, he never stopped creating. He will be remembered for his outgoing and kind nature, his dedication to his family and friends and his ability to socialize with anyone at any time. He will be forever missed.

In addition to his loving wife of 36 years, John is survived by his daughter Megan Killelea of Boston, his sons, Patrick Killelea of Middleton and Kevin Killelea and his wife Anne of Charlestown, his sisters, Marybeth Killelea and her husband Dennis Simons of New Jersey and Barbara Killelea of New Jersey, his brothers, Peter Killelea and his partner Joe Casey of New York, and Paul Killelea of New Jersey and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
