DANVERS- Mr. John Francis Moscarito 87, of Danvers, beloved husband of Joan M. (Jennings) Moscarito died Wednesday, November 26th, 2014 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington after a brief illness. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Frederick and Agnes (Harrington) Moscarito. He was raised and educated in Medford and attended Medford High school and was a graduate of Medford Vocational High School. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Occupation of Germany serving overseas and during the Korean War. Mr. Moscarito began his professional career with the Raytheon Company as a team leader. He then joined his family's business, the Village Woodworking Shop of Topsfield. He worked for many years alongside his father doing what he loved, specializing in the production of custom furniture and kitchen and bathroom cabinetry for many satisfied clients over the years. A longtime resident of Danvers, and Topsfield, John was a member of the American Legion in Topsfield, He was an avid golfer and member of the Polish Club of Danvers. He and his wife were communicants of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Danvers. His most enjoyable times were with family and friends. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his loving wife of 30 years, John is survived by his children, John F. Moscarito Jr and his wife Lorna of Weare, N.H., Cheryl Smith and her husband Gerald of Everett, Richard Mucci and his wife Janet of Everett, Anthony Dascoli and his wife Jodi of Billerica and Robert Dascoli and his wife Paola of Peabody, his grandchildren, Kristie, Jason, John III, John A., Nicholas, Joshua, Andrew , Jesse and Domenic, His 6 great, grandchildren, his brother, Frederick of Glendora, CA and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Gerald Moscarito.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Saturday, Nov. 29th at 10 A.M. followed by his funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers, at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial is private. Visiting hours Friday, Nov. 28th from 4 to 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in John's memory to the Jimmy Fund c/o Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
