DANVERS - Mr. John P. Splaine, 71 of Danvers, husband of the late Carla (Neal) Splaine, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20th, 2023 at Beverly Hospital.

Born in Milton, he was the son of the late John A. and Nan (McPhee) Splaine. He was raised and educated in Milton and was a graduate of Milton High School. John continued his education receiving his bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy from the University of Missouri. He then went on to receive his master's degree in healthcare administration from Lesley University.

Mr. Splaine began his career as a Respiratory Therapist and matriculated to Healthcare Administration where he had a very successful career at a variety of hospitals and healthcare organizations.  After retirement he was a substitute teacher in the Lynn, MA public schools.

A lifelong athlete, John enjoyed hockey and baseball as a youth, was an avid runner and enjoyed riding his bicycle. He enjoyed sports and loved the competition of football where he was a devoted fan of the Missouri and Boston College football teams. In his later years, he could be found walking his neighborhood in Salem and Danvers and playing street hockey.  John was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.

Surviving John are his children, Jonathan Splaine and his wife Ashley and their son, Jackson Splaine of Hoover, AL, his daughter, Lyndsey Splaine, and her partner, Jill Cahill and their two children of Hamilton, his siblings, Barbara Jackson of Middleborough, Michael Splaine of Quincy, David Splaine and his wife, Susie of GA, and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at 3 P.M.
