DANVERS - John Henry Strong, 85, of Danvers, MA passed away peacefully on December 12th, 2022, following a short illness. He was born on June 8, 1937, in New York, NY, the son of Jess and Mary Strong, husband to Debbie (Lopashanski) Strong and brother to Robert.

John attended St. Francis de Sales in New York City.  After high school, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Washington State.  He studied accounting at Baruch College and worked for many different organizations as an accountant in the New York City area, including General Cigar, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and The Salvation Army.

John married Debbie on April 12, 1969 and started a family in Queens.  Later, they moved to Teaneck, NJ, where they raised their two children.  John was a devoted husband and father and cared deeply for his extended family.

John is survived by his son, Brendan Strong and his wife Claudia of Topsfield, MA, daughter Colleen Strong and her husband Patrick Martin of Arlington, MA, and his two grandchildren, Alexander Strong and Sofia Strong.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 12:00 pm at St. Rose of Lima in Topsfield, MA. Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 10:45 am until 11:15 am at the O'Donnell cremations - Funerals - Celebrations, 167 Maple Street in Danvers, MA.  In addition, family will receive friends on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home at 1024 Market St., Berwick, PA.  Burial will follow at the Ss. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Berwick, PA.
