DANVERS – Mr. John K. “Marley” Truesdale, 66 of Danvers, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on June 4, 2026, at Beverly Hospital.
Born in Salem, Massachusetts on September 8, 1959, John was the son of the late John A. and Edythe (Butler) Truesdale. He was raised and educated in Beverly, attending Beverly Public Schools and was the proud class president of his 1977 graduating class of Beverly High School. John continued his education at Bridgewater State University and Salem State University to study business.
John devoted his working career to his professional cleaning business on the North Shore where he fostered long-term working relationships with his clients. A trusted and truthful man, John was a proud Freemason and a member of the Manchester Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M.
John had many passions throughout his life but most notably, he loved traveling to the South Pacific and visiting the island of Aruba, a first love and the home of his adopted rescue, Ruban.
John is survived by his two sisters, Susan E. Richardson and her husband, Scott of Ft. Collins, CO and Sally E. Truesdale of Beverly, MA; his nephews, Brian S. Richardson and his wife, Alyson of Ft. Collins, CO and Jeffrey J. Richardson and his wife, Kristen of Kyle, TX; his grand niece and nephew, Callie M. Richardson and Blake B. Richardson both of Ft. Collins, CO and dear and loyal friend, Mai Phung as well as his loving Aruba family.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the entire team at Mass General Cancer Center for their special care of John and to Dr. B for his kindness and compassion.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to John’s funeral which will be held at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Thursday, June 11th at 11 A.M. with his burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, 57 Orne St., Salem. Visiting hours on Wednesday, June 10th from 4 to 6:30 P.M. with a masonic service to be held at 6:30 P.M.
