SALEM – Mrs. Josefa Rivera de Grateraux 70, of Salem, died Monday, November 25th, 2024 at Salem Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Ramon Emilio Nunez and Nere Magdelena Rivera. She was raised and educated in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to the United States in 1994. First settling in New York but shortly thereafter moving to Salem where she made her forever home.

Josefa was deeply devoted to her catholic faith and attended church regularly. She was an active and almost daily communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Salem. She often prayed at home for all of her family and friends that they be healthy and know the love of God. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed.

Josefa is survived by her daughter Guillermina Grateraux of Salem, her son Jose Grateraux of North Andover, her grandchildren, Jose, Ana C., Massiel and Ana E and many additional family members. She was the mother of the late Juan Grateraux and grandmother of the late July Grateraux.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM, Sunday, Dec. 1st at 6:30 P.M.
