SALEM - Mr. Joseph A. Fagg, 76, of Salem, beloved husband of Amy P. Levine-Fagg, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 9th, 2024 at Salem Hospital with his wife by his side.
Born in Danvers, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Rosa (Evanitzki) Fagg. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School. Joseph continued his education at University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he received his bachelor's degree in education.
Following college Joe embarked on a long and successful career at GE where he excelled as a senior planner dedicating 50 years of service to the company prior to his retirement.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Joe's passion for athletics was evident throughout his life. From playing football and boxing in high school and college to coaching and captaining the GE Softball League, Joe relished the challenge and camaraderie that sports provided. An avid Boston sports fan, he rarely missed a game, he was ready to support whichever team was playing. Joe shared a deep bond with his beloved wife Amy, together they explored the world, embarking on numerous adventures both domestically and abroad. His kind and gentle natured endeared him to many and his dry sense of humor never failed to bring a smile to the faces of those who really listened. Joe lived a life full of love, laughter and cherished memories, he touched the lives of many with his humor and kindness and will be forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Surviving Joe in addition to his beloved wife Amy is his brother Paul D. Sanderson of Foxboro and many dear friends.
