DANVERS - Mr. Joseph A. "Joe" Dixon, Jr., 81 of Danvers, beloved husband of the late Ruth N. (Cragan) Dixon, died Friday, March 23, 2018 at Beverly Hospital. Born in Medford on September 24, 1936, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Mary (Uhlman) Dixon. Raised and educated in Stoneham, he attended Stoneham Public Schools. An honorably discharged veteran, Joe proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. A life-long resident of the Town of Danvers, Joe enjoyed being active with his family and friends. He was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren and enjoyed taking trips to Mohegan Sun and Shopping.

Joe is survived by his sons; Douglas M. Dixon of Peabody and Jeffrey Dixon of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, his six grandchildren; Randall Dixon and Joseph Dixon of Peabody, Janelle Annese of Honolulu, HI, Kyle Annese of Peabody and Savannah and Matthew Annese of Salem. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruth N. (Cragan) Dixon with whom he shared 50 years of marriage and his daughter, Deborah Annese.
