IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph H.
Kirby
January 28, 1944 – February 15, 2023
Palm Harbor, FL - Mr. Joseph H. "Papa Joe" Kirby, 79, of Palm Harbor, formerly of Danvers, beloved husband of Pamela (Ferguson) Kirby, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Beverly he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Martha (Fitzgerald) Kirby. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School.
Joe was a lineman with the Town of Danvers Electric Light Division for over 32 years. Upon his retirement he and Pam moved to Palm Harbor where he worked as a currier for the Pinellas County Clerk of Courts for several years.
A longtime resident of the Town of Danvers and Palm Harbor, Joe was involved in several organizations. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Polish Russian Lithuanian American Citizen's Club, Sons of American Legion and The Eagles for many years. He had a passion for motorcycles and cars especially antique cars. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Joe was devoted to his family. He held many part time jobs over the years to provide for them. He was inherently proud of his children's and grandchildren's many milestones and accomplishments and sharing those with them gave him great joy. He was funny with a colorful vocabulary that endeared him to many but will be remembered most for the love and support he showed his family. He will be deeply missed.
