SALEM - Juana Maritza Guzman, age 67, passed away at home peacefully, after a long battle with Cholangiocarcinoma and Leukemia, on May 16, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Despite all odds Juana showed determination, resilience and strength. Fighting this battle for 3 years.

Juana was born on June 24th, 1956 and raised in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Guzman Medina and Alejandrina Canelo De Guzman.

Juana came to America in 1983 with the vision of having a better life and creating more opportunity for herself and her family. She most recently worked for Microline, where she will truly be missed due to her leadership and exemplary work ethic.

She was known for being a devoted mother, grandmother, and daughter. Her independence and loving spirit contributed to many lasting memories spent amongst family and friends, she will be dearly missed by all. The family asks that she be remembered with the same joy she shared with others and not the grief of her passing.

Juana is survived by her children; Katherine Lucas and her partner, Gabriel of Lynn, Josmary Chery and her husband, Edens of Randolph, and Felix Lucas and his wife, Kayla of Peabody. She was the loving grandmother to Ariana, Alaina, Aiden, Emilia, Owen and Logan. She had five siblings Luis Manuel Guzman, Mercedes Altagracia Guzman, Sandra Xiomara Guzman, Yris Violeta Guzman and Carlos Anderson Guzman and many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: A private ceremony will be held at O'Donnell Cremations - Funerals - Celebrations, 84 Washington Square, (at Salem Common) SALEM.
