PEABODY – Mrs. Judith S. (Furey) Kline, 86, of Brooksby Village, Peabody, formerly of Beverly, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27th, 2023. She was the loving wife of Lawrence Kline.
Born in Salem, she was the beloved daughter of the late James T. and Margaret H. (Hussey) Furey. Raised and educated in Salem, Judith graduated from Salem High School, class of 1955, where she met the love of her life, Lawrence with whom she would go on to celebrate 64 years of marriage. Following graduation, she went on to further her education at Salem State Teacher's College achieving her bachelor's degree in education in 1959. Soon after, Mrs. Kline began her career in education in the Gloucester Public School System as an elementary school teacher, before transferring to the City of Salem Public School Department where she continued as a teacher until the time of her retirement.
Judith was devoted to her Catholic faith and a long-standing communicant of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church in Beverly, where she taught as a CCD teacher for many years. Judith had a strong passion for faith, family, and teaching. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her heart was full when surrounded by those whom she loved.
In addition to her devoted husband, Lawrence Kline, Judith is survived by her sons, Anthony F. Kline and his wife, Deborah of Prides Crossing, and Douglas J. Kline and his wife, Susan of South Hamilton, grandchildren, Lawrence Kline and his fiancé, Carissa, John Kline, Thaoi Kline, Bao Kline, Anh Kline, Dylan Kline and his wife, Elizabeth, Zachary Kline and his fiancé, Riley, and Nora Kline and her husband, Tyler, great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Graham, Evan, and Wesley; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Judith is preceded in death by her siblings; James T. Furey, Arlene H. Rodden, John F. Furey, and Ruth M. Turcotte.
