PEABODY – Judith (Beaudry) Murray, 88, of Peabody, died peacefully on October 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Laura (McNeil) Beaudry and beloved wife of the late Robert Murray.
Judith, a devoted matriarch, creative spirit, and compassionate advocate for her community, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and artistry. Above all else, the absolute center and most important part of her life was her family, whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally.
A proud alumna of the Medway High School Class of 1960, Judith carried her school-day roots with her as she built a life rich in diverse talents and professional achievements. Her career was a reflection of her versatility and dedication to helping others. For many years, she served with great pride at the Falmouth Housing Authority, working tirelessly to ensure individuals and families in her community had a safe place to call home. Earlier in life, she also shared her warmth and conversational charm as a hairdresser and later utilized her sharp organizational talents as an Administrative Assistant.
Beyond her professional achievements, Judith was a woman of deep passions and vibrant hobbies. She possessed a profound love for animals and was an avid, lifelong supporter of the ASPCA. She held a particularly special place in her heart for cats, most notably her beloved black cat, O’Sullivan, who brought immense joy and companionship to her days.
Judith also possessed a rare and beautiful artistic eye. She found peace and self-expression through her art, spending countless hours captured in watercolor painting and sketching. Her delicate depictions of serene landscapes and elegant still-life scenes will remain treasured keepsakes for her loved ones. When she wasn't painting, she could often be found traveling with her beloved companion, Robert. Together, they frequently set sail on cruises in warmer climates, chasing the sun, exploring beautiful coastal ports, and creating a lifetime of unforgettable memories together.
Judith’s bright smile, creative soul, and nurturing heart will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
