Mr. Kenneth T. Armstrong 78, of Beverly, beloved husband of Patricia (O'Shea) Armstrong, died Dec. 23rd, 2012 at Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester. Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late George and Lottie (Wright) Armstrong. He was raised and educated in Peabody. An honorably discharged veteran, Mr. Armstrong served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Armstrong had been self employed as a house painter on the North Shore for many years. He had also been employed with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Maintenance worker at the District Court in Salem for over thirteen years until the time of his retirement. Mr. Armstrong had been a member of the Lafayette Association, the Salem Moose Lodge #218and he was a member of the Cressy Dockham Bowling League for over twenty five years. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his loving wife of fifty two years, Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Lisa M. McKenna and her husband Robert of Beverly, his son, Timothy Armstrong and his wife Suzanne (Hill) Armstrong of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, his grandchildren, Jennifer E. and Katherine G. Armstrong of Glen Ellyn, Il and Stephanie, Allison D., and Ryan Joseph McKenna of Beverly, his two sisters, Shirley Hockenhull of Gloucester and Barbara Prescott of Danvers and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his four brothers Donald, George, Robert, Richard and four sisters Ruth Evans, Doris Lee, Blanche Barnes and Marilyn Gagnon.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Kenneth's Life at the Moose Family Lodge, 50 Grove St., Salem, Saturday, December 29th, 2012 from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. All other services are private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Kenneth's memory to Beverly Bootstraps, 371 Cabot St., Beverly, MA 01915.
