SALEM - Kenneth "Ray" Church passed away on July 6th, 2022, at the age of 69. He died peacefully in the town in which he grew up, Danvers, Massachusetts. Ray spent his final days surrounded by loved ones.

Ray considered Salem his hometown and was a staple in local coffee shops and bakeries for many years. He was a lover of music — from the Beatles to Miles Davis, he adored it all. He was a talented musician in his own right, playing in bands in the Boston area throughout the 80's. The only things Ray loved more than music were hot fudge sundaes... and his two kids, whom he affectionately referred to as "Kinney" and "That Pain in my Ass."

Ray was a loving father to Aiden and Kinnon, never missing a baseball game or a concert. Despite battling illness for many years, Ray was never without a smile. He was adored by everyone he came across, a telling sign of his wonderful personality.

Ray is survived by his brother and wife, David and Evelyn; brother and wife, Gary and Laura; his children, Aiden and Kinnon; and nieces and nephews, Daniel, Sarah, Peter, Brian, Jillian, Molly, and Rebecca. Ray was predeceased by parents, Kenneth and Frances, and brother, Rodney.
