SALEM - Mr. Kenneth J. Mizioch, 78, of Salem, beloved husband of Joanne (Eagar) Mizioch passed away Sunday, October 29th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late John and Victoria (Bik) Mizioch. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School Class of 1956. He continued his education attending Salem State College.

A member of the National Guard, Kenny proudly served his country as Chief Warrant Officer at the Salem Armory for 43 years until the time of the fire and continued his service at the Lynn Armory until the time of his discharge in 1998.

Kenny was well known throughout the North Shore as the proprietor of Mizioch Witham Catering of Danvers. He was highly regarded within the industry and was known for his strong work ethic and easy-going personality.

A life-long resident of the City of Salem, community was important to Kenny. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and also served as a member of the Knights of Columbus Veragua Council 76 of Salem "his second home". He was President of Salem Youth Hockey and later on at Bishop Fenwick Hockey Boosters. He generously volunteered for many events and was always ready to lend a hand, especially for the elderly and the youth.

Family was paramount in Kenny's life; he was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather and happiest when surrounded by his family. He was truly proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their many accomplishments; but most of all he was proud to call Joanne the love of his life. Kenny's heart was as big as he was and will he be deeply missed.

In addition to his wife Joanne of Salem with whom he shared 58 years of marriage, Kenny is survived by his daughter; Mary Margaret Mizioch and her partner Armen Hambarsumian of Los Angeles, CA, his sons; John Mizioch and his wife Mary of Sanford, ME and Patrick Mizioch and his wife Christine of Peabody, his grandchildren; Ashley, John, Jordan, Cameron, Alex, Zach and Patrick Benson, his great-grandchildren; Jayden, Jaxson, Jordyn, John James and Penelope, his sister; Christina Clemenzi and her husband Paul of Freemont, NH, his brother; Gregory Mizioch and his wife Rebecca of Scottsdale, AZ, his brother-in-law, James Eagar and his wife Ellen of Lynn, MA and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lydia Boncek, Peter Mizioch, Joseph Mizioch, John Mizioch and Kathryn Morgan, and brother-in-law of the late Harry Eagar and his wife Carol and Mary Agnes Geary.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem on Friday, November 3rd at 9:30A.M. followed by his funeral Mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St., Peabody at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours, Thursday, November 2nd from 4 to 7 P.M.
