SALEM – Mr. Kevin Michael Conner, 67 of Salem, died unexpectedly, Friday, May 31st, 2024 at his home.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Mary Louise (Morgan) Conner. He was the step-son of the late Rita (Joly) Conner. He was raised and educated in Salem, attended the former St. Mary's School, and was a graduate the former Phillips School and Salem Vocational High School, class of 1975.
Mr. Conner was a talented welder and heavy equipment operator. He had been associated with the General Electric Company for many years as well as working with J. Marchese & Sons. He was a Union Iron Worker and well respected for his aptitude in both disciplines.
A longtime resident of the City of Salem, Kevin had a passion for working with his hands. He loved to spend his time restoring old cars and gardening. He had an innate ability to find a part or piece of equipment that a friend could use. He was always willing and wanting to help others and give of his collections. He was an avid boater and relished time spent skiing, especially with his beloved son Brendan. A true animal lover, he always had a canine companion by his side. Kevin was a devoted father, grandfather, companion, brother and uncle.
Kevin is survived by his son, Brendan Conner and his wife, Colleen of Ipswich, his grandchildren, Declan, Ainsley and Isla, his sister, Kathy Connolly and her husband, Bert of Peabody, his brother, Kerry J. Conner and his wife, Nancy Dasaro of Lynn, his long-time companion, Helen Kontarasis of Salem and his step siblings, Robert Rosinski and wife, Pam and Donna Dennesen and husband, Phil and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was the step brother of the late David Rosinski.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM, Sunday, June 9th from 1 to 4 P.M.
