Mr. Kevin Douglas McCarthy 57 of Salem, formerly of Middleton, died, Wednesday evening at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington Following a short illness.

Born in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Robert G. and Anna May (Ross) McCarthy. He was raised and educated in Middleton and attended Masconomet High School.

Mr. McCarthy had been employed for many years with the Jones Boys Insulation Company of Danvers.

Alongtime resident of the Town of Middleton, Kevin had a true love of the outdoors. He enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting in Maine.

Kevin is survived by his sons, Matthew McCarthy of Exeter, N.H., Timothy McCarthy of Pittsburgh, PAand Ryan McCarthy of Exeter, N.H. his loving companion of over 25 years, Nancy Silva of Salem and her children, Christina Silva of Salem and Charles Silva of Amesbury, his grandchildren, Kaden Silva and Amber Silva, his siblings, Joyce Marston and her husband Stan of West Newbury, Robert W. McCarthy and his former spouse Laurie McCarthy of Ellsworth, Maine, Richard McCarthy and his partner Patrick Newalu of Stockholm, Maine, James McCarthy of Middleton, Robin Lovely and her former spouse David Lovely of Bradford and Sean McCarthy of Middleton and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Colleen Dane and Donald McCarthy.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers, Monday from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. to be followed by his funeral service which will be held in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton, graveside, at 1:30 P.M.
