SALEM - Kristin Michelle Davidson, age 56, passed away on June 03, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer while living in Los Angeles, California.

Kristin is the daughter of the late Patricia (Holloran) Davidson and John Peter Davidson of Salem.

Kristin was born at McDonald Army Hospital, Fort Eustis Virginia on June 14, 1969.

Kristin spent much of her early life in Houston Texas. She attended an Alief Hastings High school, graduating in 1988. In middle school and high school, she excelled at track, soccer and fast-pitch softball and was awarded MVP when her team won their fast pitch softball conference. During one of her high school summer vacations, she was invited to join an all-state track team that was going to track meet that was being held in China.

Following high school, Kristin attended the University of Nebraska on a full softball scholarship. She completed a bachelor of science degree in education and went on to obtain her master's degree in education.

Kristin found her calling as a teacher; she especially loved teaching preschoolers and first graders. Kristin would beam when talking about her students. Kristin amazingly kept teaching while getting treatment at the City of Hope for several years. Kristin taught at Le Lycee Francais de Los Angeles, a private French School and most recently at the Valley Charter School in LA.

Kristin is survived by her brother, Mark P. Davidson and his wife, Chitdavong "Ning" Sengsouvanh of Euless Texas. Kristin also leaves a nephew, Jonathan and nieces, Jenna and Hannah all of Texas. Kristin will be missed by her extended Holloran family including aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kristin leaves behind a close friend, Marian Orino, with whom Kristin shared many happy times. Marian was a blessing for Kristin through her difficult times as well. Unfortunately, their time together was cut short due to Kristin's illness.

Kristin would make frequent trips back to Salem to visit her family. She considered her times in Salem as her escape from her emotional and physical worries… her refuse from her disease.

Kristin had a talent for repurposing jewelry and loved making and collecting wands. Kristin loved the ocean and exploring around the North Shore and Boston with her dad. Kristin enjoyed going to the movies and going to shows at the North Shore Music Theater when in the area.

The family would like to thank the caring doctors, nurses and medical professionals at the City of Hope, where Kristin received her treatment. The family wants to thank Kristin's coworkers at Le Lycee Francais de Los Angeles, who supported Kristin during her many challenges while receiving treatments. Kristin was fortunate to have caring coworkers at the Valley Charter School as well, especially her principal, Mrs. Parinaz Banks. Thank you to them as well.
