PEABODY – Mrs. Laura (Jackimowicz) deGrandpre 94 of Peabody, formerly of Salem, wife of the late Pierre deGrandpre, died Saturday, February 24th, 2024 at Continuing Care at Brooksby Village in Peabody surrounded by her loving family.

Laura was born and raised in Salem, Massachusetts. She graduated from Salem High School as a member of the class of 1947. She was the daughter of the late John and Tekla (Novak) Jackimowicz.

Mrs. deGrandpre spent the last 16 years enjoying life in Brooksby Village, she previously was a long-time resident of the city of Salem. She had been employed at Mass Gas & Electric and retired from Sears Credit. Laura also held numerous volunteer positions throughout her life.

Laura was predeceased by her husband, Pierre deGrandpre, her son, Michael deGrandpre and her brother, William Jackimowicz.

She is survived by two sons, Mark deGrandpre and his wife, Cindy of Pennsylvania and Eric deGrandpre and his husband, Michael Anastos of Saugus, her daughter-in-law, Julie deGrandpre of Wakefield, four grandchildren, Paige (Dennis), Blair, Emily and Alyssa and two great grandchildren, William and Penelope, as well as niece Susan and nephew John, along with other nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her Funeral services will be private. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
