Gorham, Maine & DANVERS- Mrs. Leora Frances (Gibson) Harvey 82 of Gorham, Maine, and Danvers, MA., beloved wife of the late John B. Harvey Jr. died peacefully Friday February 7th surrounded by loving family at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. Born in Woburn, "LEE" was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Sabatis) Gibson. She was raised in Woburn and graduated from Woburn High School. Mrs. Harvey was the Executive Regional Director with the American Red Cross for many years and helped many local families in need. Leora was a longtime resident of the Town of Danvers prior to retiring to Gilford, NH and then Gorham, Maine. She was a talented artist who loved to play the piano. Leora, as a child, performed on the radio. She enjoyed spending her time boating with the love of her life "Jack", an air force veteran and of course spending lots of quality time with her family. She also enjoyed all of her families pets over the years. She was a member of her Church in Gorham, Maine, Gilford, NH and the Maple Street Congregational Church in Danvers and sang in the choir. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and caretaker who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Leora is survived by her sons, John B. Harvey III and his wife Diane of Danvers, Todd Harvey and his wife Suzette of Gorham, Maine, Darryl Harvey and his wife Sally of Gorham, Maine, her daughter, Cheryl Harvey and Richard Croughwell of Bluehill, Maine, her grandchildren, Dale, Cara Curtis, Dana, Nora, Carson and Colin Harvey, her step grandchildren, Joseph and Kevin Murphy, her great grandchildren, Christian and Connor Harvey and Brayden Curtis and several nieces and nephews. She was also the beloved sister of the late Allene B. Seminatore of Woburn.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte 62) Danvers, Thursday at 11 A.M. relatives and friends invited. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M.. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy, may be made in Leora's memory to the Danvers Council on Aging, 25 Stone Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
