Linda Ecker Alberts

TOPSFIELD – Mrs. Linda Ecker Alberts, 75 of Topsfield, and the loving wife of the late John Clark Alberts, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7th, 2026 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Lynnfield.

Born in Vernon, Connecticut, Linda was the daughter of the late George & Harriet (May) Ecker. She was raised and educated in Storrs, Connecticut and earned her bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania.

Linda had a lengthy and profound career in the banking industry where she took on the role of Vice President Loan Officer and later in life account monitoring for the FDIC until the time of her retirement.

Always one to stay active, Linda enjoyed life and her retirement in New Hampshire. As a hockey mom, Linda took on ice hockey in her 50s with other hockey moms and formed a dynamite team called the Dino Moms. She enjoyed hiking with her retirement group traveling trails through mountains in New Hampshire. When leisurely at home, she was the ultimate gardener, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens and would often bake treats for her family, most notably her cherished apple pies. Above all else, Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda is survived by her son, Jay Alberts and his wife, Anne of Topsfield; her granddaughters, Heidi and Elizabeth Alberts of Topsfield; her brother, James Ecker and his wife, Janet of Brewer, ME and a niece, Jordan Ecker and nephew, Jamie Ecker.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to Linda’s celebration of life which will be held at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Friday, June 12th at 12 NOON.
