Obituary

BEVERLY - Louis Ronald St. Pierre (Ron), died peacefully at home with his devoted wife and loving family. Ron was born in Danvers, MA in 1932 to Helen (Redmond) St. Pierre and Lloyd St. Pierre. Growing up in Salem, he had a wonderful childhood with fond memories, especially of his brothers and sister. For over 60 years, he has lived in Beverly, MA, where he raised his family.

He was a proud graduate of St. Mary's Boys High School in Lynn, MA and Mass Maritime Academy. After graduation, he served in the Navy, then in the Merchant Marines; during this time, he traveled the world with adventures and stories from every port.

After the Merchant Marines, he worked at General Electric where he had the privilege to work at Mission Control at The Kennedy Space Center during the Gemini Mission. He later spent the rest of his working career at Polaroid.

Active in the Beverly community, he coached Little League Baseball and is an honored member of the Beverly Little League Hall of Fame. He also coached CYO basketball and Pop Warner football. His mentorship left a lasting impression on those who he coached, building confidence and emphasizing the importance of working as a team.

Ron's greatest love in life was his wife Dorothy (Dot), to whom he was married for almost 70 years, his children and grandchildren. Second, was his love for Notre Dame football. His joy was contagious. He loved making people laugh, had a joke or story for every occasion and gave great advice to anyone lucky enough to spend time with him.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Dot and his five children; Julie St. Pierre Hart (Tom Hart), Suzanne St. Pierre Gray (David Gray), Paula St. Pierre Cary (Jon Cary), Ron St. Pierre (Terri Radcliffe) and Beth St. Pierre Murphy, his 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
