Obituary

LYNNFIELD – Louise Norma Harper, 100 of Lynnfield, beloved wife of the late Richard Weston Harper passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 at Sunrise of Lynnfield with her loving family by her side.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Williams) Weiler.  She was raised and educated in Nahant and was a graduate of Lynn English High School.

Louise embarked on a long and successful career as a bookkeeper. She held several positions over the years, eventually becoming office manager at the Union Machine Company for many years. A job where she was known for her attention to detail, her strong work ethic and was well respected for her superior ability to multi-task and knowledge of many company departments.

She dedicated herself tirelessly to her family, raising her seven children, thirty-eight grandchildren, sixty-eight great-grandchildren and fourteen great great-grandchildren. Louise was truly happy when surrounded by her family and involved in their many activities, the joy she garnered from her family was immeasurable. Throughout her 100 years, Louise exemplified strength, resilience, and a hearty passion for life. She enjoyed having an active and healthy lifestyle, finding joy in square dancing, ballroom dancing, skiing, and camping.  Louise's adventurous spirit brought her around the world including Russia, Poland, New Zealand, Africa and Patagonia amongst others, and China three times.  When she was not traveling the world, Louise enjoyed camping and exercising.  Faith played a central role in Louise's life as she was a devoted choir leader and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lynnfield for many years. She lived near her church sharing 7 acres with the Bigney Family for which the word neighbor was inadequate. Her spirit of unconditional love, unwavering support for family, generosity and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
