SALEM – Mr. Luis R. Negron "Cuco" 70, of Salem, beloved husband of the late Maria Correa Negron, died unexpectedly, Friday, February 23rd, 2024 at Salem Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Manati, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Juan Negron and Mercedes Batista. He was raised and educated in Puerto Rico and immigrated to the United States in 1978, making Salem his forever home.
Mr. Negron had been employed as an industrial Welder and member of the Welders Union of Massachusetts. He had been associated with Eagle Can Company and most recently WestRock Co. in Wakefield until the time of his retirement.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, Luis was happiest when spending time with his family. He loved to go fishing and listening to music but was truly most content when surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
Luis is survived by his daughters, Glarivel Negron of Beverly and Soraida Negron of Salem, his son, Luis Negron of Salem, his grandchildren, Annaiz, Juan, Anaya, Leilani and Aedyn, his sister, Ana Carrion of Puerto Rico and several nieces and nephews and extended family. He was the brother of the late Gladys Rodriguez and Juan Negron Jr.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held graveside at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orne St., Salem, Friday, March 1sr. at 11:30 A.M.
