BEVERLY – Mr. Malcolm Rossiter Bruce, 89 of Beverly, formerly of Danvers and Peabody, passed away peacefully after a lengthy decline on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center of Beverly. He was the loving husband of the late Glenne (Grant) Bruce with whom he shared 44 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2014.
Born in Millinocket, Maine, Malcolm was the son of the late Earl and Bernice (Rossiter) Bruce. He was raised and educated in Maine and continued his college education where he received his degree in draftsmanship.
Malcolm devoted his entire professional career to General Electric in Lynn where he worked for decades as a Draftsman. He was extremely talented and was well respected within the company.
Artistically talented, Malcolm enjoyed wood carving and creating artistic projects for family and friends to cherish. Together, he and his beloved wife Glenne, were actively involved in the Northshore Unitarian Universalist Church community and enjoyed volunteering for productions at the community musical theater in Weston, Vermont. Malcolm will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Kerry Rye of Washington; nieces, Kerry Green of Georgia, Heather Johnson of South Carolina, Kimberly Regan of Georgia and Sara Zell of Maine; his nephew, David Scott of Maine. Malcolm was the brother of the late Phyllis Gardner and Joanne Scott.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Malcolm's funeral service which will be held graveside at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge, MA on Wednesday, May 21st at 11 A.M. Assisting the family with the arrangements is O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., Danvers, MA.
