IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marcia Ann
(Lee) Pelletier
February 8, 1944 – August 2, 2021
MIDDLETON – Mrs. Marcia Ann (Lee) Pelletier, 77, of Middleton, formerly of Salem, beloved wife of Francis George Pelletier, passed away peacefully August 2, 2021 at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Robert Jr. and Mary Rose (Burton) Lee. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of St. James Girls High School. Education and knowledge were important to Marcia and she instilled this in her family. She continued her formal education earning her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Bentley College and later a Management Degree from Lesley University. Later in life, she returned to the class room while working full time, earning her Master's in Business Administration at Salem State University.
Marcia had been employed as the Executive Director of the Retirement Board for the City of Salem. She was also a Professor of Accounting at the former Bradford College in Haverhill and comptroller at Malden Evening News. She was well respected in these professions for her attention to detail and her vast knowledge.
Marcia and Francis were a true love story and they were immensely devoted to each other. They enjoyed every moment spent together. In the end, he barely moved from her side, and even when communicating no longer came easily, "I love you," was the one phrase she could most consistently express, most often directed at him. The beauty of their love and devotion to one another helped to replace our feelings of sadness, in turn blessing us with the opportunity to be first hand witnesses to the primary purpose of a meaningful life — deep human connection.
Marica was a long-time social member at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Peabody. She was active in her community, and her generosity was boundless. Above all else, family always came first. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Marcia is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Francis George Pelletier of Middleton, her daughter, Karen Harrington of Watertown, her son, Jim Juengst of Arizona, her step-children, Julie Rutkowski, Cathy Julien, Paula Lemiesz, Regina Penney, her 13 grandchildren, her 12 great grandchildren. She was the stepmother of the late Nicole Pelletier.
