PEABODY – Ms. Margaret Jane (Roscoe) Mahoney, 83 of Peabody, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Care One in Peabody with family by her side.

Born in Cambridge, Ohio, Margaret was the daughter of the late Andrew and Jessie B. (Lafollette) Roscoe. She was raised and educated in Ohio where she graduated from Cambridge High School.

Margaret was a devoted wife and mother and later in life, grandmother and great-grandmother to her large and growing family. She was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Salem and enjoyed singing in the church's choir for many years. In her free time, Margaret enjoyed a great book, spending time with friends playing bingo or stealing a good find on QVC. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Margaret is survived by her son, Matthew Mahoney and his wife, Dolores Caruso Mahoney of Fairless Hills, PA and her daughter, Maureen Mahoney Wojcik of Beverly; her grandchildren, Melissa, Jennifer, Kristen, Nicole, Samantha, Travis and Jarrod; her many great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Campbell and brothers, David and Richard Roscoe all of Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was the mother of the late Sean P. Mahoney and mother-in-law of the late, Kathleen (Pappas) Mahoney.
