DANVERS - Mrs. Margaret C. (Russell) Mscisz 88, of Danvers, beloved wife of the late Stanley J. Mscisz, died peacefully, Friday, March 7th, 2025.
Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Margaret (Knowles) Russell. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of the former Holten High School in Danvers.
Mrs. Mscisz was first and foremost a loving wife, devoted mother and doting grandmother and great grandmother. Family was everything to her, as she was the matriarch of a large loving family.
Mrs. Mscisz had been employed for over 30 years with GTE Sylvania. She worked in many capacities over her long career, driving a forklift loading tractor trailers to retiring as a Unit Supervisor. She enjoyed working and all of her coworkers. In retirement she returned to the working world having been associated with the Friend Box Company of Danvers. Being a hard worker was instilled in her at a young age and in turn she shared those same values with her children and grandchildren.
A longtime resident of the Town of Danvers, Margaret enjoyed spending her time surrounded by her family. She especially relished spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid knitter and crocheter, following her father's footsteps, she cherished travelling to Aruba annually and many visits to Las Vegas where she enjoyed the casinos. She was an excellent country western dancer and loved a good cookout or party. She is leaving a legacy of love and dedication to family.
Margaret is survived by her six children, Anne Hoffman and her husband, Arthur of Georgetown, Teri Mscisz of Wenham, Stanley Mscisz Jr and his wife, Cindy of Beverly, Peter Mscisz and his wife, Beckie of Middleton, Ricky Mscisz of Middleton, and Paula Elster and her husband, John of Hamilton, her 12 grandchildren, her 18 great grandchildren, her sisters, Kathleen Cross of Hampton, NH and Edna Choquette of Peabody and several nieces, nephews and extended family. She was pre-deceased by her husband Stanley J. Mscisz and 8 siblings.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) DANVERS, Thursday, March 13th at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours prior to the service Thursday, March 13th from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon.
