SALEM – Mrs. Maria Paredes de Minaya 74, of Salem, beloved wife of Juan Minaya, died peacefully Tuesday, February 21st, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Bartolo Paredes and Paula Rodriguez. She was raised and educated in Castillo and San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic. She immigrated to the United States in 1991 making the city of Salem her families forever home.

Family was at the heart of who Maria was. She devoted her life to providing a warm and caring home for her husband and family. She supported her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in every aspect of their lives.

A long-time resident of Salem, Maria was devoted to her catholic faith. She was a parishioner and member of the choir at the Immaculate Conception Church in Salem.

A sweet, kind and vivacious woman, Maria was tremendously generous, helping anyone in their time of need. She loved to sing and dance and was often the life of the party, dancing and singing and encouraging others to join in the fun. Maria will be remembered for her deep faith and her incredible love of family.

Maria is survived by her husband, Juan Minaya of Salem, her daughters, Marisol Minaya of Salem, Evelyn Minaya of Peabody and Mayrandis Minaya of Salem, her grandchildren, James, Chaniel, Maireni, Alexander, Amy, Alexis and Mathew, her great grandchildren and her 9 brothers and sisters in the Dominican Republic.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem, Friday, Feb. 24th at 11:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
