IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marilyn C.
(Walsh) Mceachern
March 22, 1939 – November 23, 2023
DANVERS – Mrs. Marilyn C. (Walsh) McEachern 84, of Danvers, beloved wife of Joseph McEachern Sr., died peacefully, November 23rd, 2023 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, with her loving husband by her side.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Doris (Withey) Walsh. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1958.
Mrs. McEachern began her professional career at the former Parker Brothers in Salem as young woman. Upon the start of her family, she focused her love and attention to raising her children. As her kids grew in age, Marilyn re-joined the work force, working "mother's hours" for many years at the former Hotwatt in Danvers, Ross Jewelers, Medtronic, and Salem Hospital, until the time of her retirement. She was a caring wife, devoted mother, doting nana, who took great pride in providing a loving home for her entire family to enjoy.
Marilyn and Joe were an outgoing and social couple. They often attended dances and gatherings at the Vittori-Rocci Post in Beverly, making friends along the way. A voracious reader, Marilyn finished multiple books in a week and was a talented crocheter, sharing her creations with family and friends. She donated many of her Afghans for patients at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. A woman with a deep empathy towards animals, she had many feline and canine companions over the years, which truly brought her great joy. Above all else, she was fully focused on her family, putting their needs and happiness in front of her own, supporting them in all of their endeavors and showering them with affection. She will be forever remembered.
Marilyn is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Joseph McEachern Sr. of Danvers, her daughter, Sharon (McEachern) Boutchie and her husband, Glenn Jr., of Kingston, NH, her sons, Joseph McEachern Jr. and his wife, Jenn of Danvers and Daniel McEachern and his wife, Caren of Marblehead, her grandchildren, Andrew McEachern and his wife, Denise, James and Leah McEachern, Julia and Jessica Boutchie and Sadie and Coby McEachern, her sister-in-law, Ruthie Walsh of Salem and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Thomas and Lawrence Walsh.
