TEWKSBURY – Mark Robert Christy, of Tewksbury, originally of Peabody, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026 surrounded by love at Mass General Hospital. With Mark's passing, he was able to give the ultimate gift - the gift of life. A father, husband, son, cousin, nephew and friend, Mark will forever be 37.

Born in Salem, Mark was the son of Robert Christy of Peabody and the late Helen (Hogan) Christy. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veteran Memorial High School, Class of 2007. Growing up, Mark was active in sports, whether it was on the soccer field or competing on the basketball courts and baseball diamonds of the Peabody Youth Leagues. Following high school, Mark would go on to attend Bridgewater State University where he would meet his wife, Jen.

After college, Mark began his career with the Massachusetts Port Authority. He worked as a light equipment operator and currently as foreman at Logan International Airport. He was a proud member of Teamsters Union Local 25.

Mark never met a stranger, just an ear that hadn't heard one of his stories yet. They were the kind of stories only Mark could tell, in the way only Mark could tell them. His tales usually revolved around his glory days with his childhood best friends. Mark wasn't just the life of the party; he was the party. If Mark was there, you were going to have a good time. Whether it was in the backyard or at a tailgate, Mark was a master behind the grill. Rarely needing a reason to get people together, Mark made sure his family and friends were well fed. Playing video games, listening to music around a fire or roasting his sister-in-law endlessly were also some of Mark's favorite pastimes.

Mark was an avid sports fan. If there was a game happening, it was on the TV. The Patriots were his real passion, having been a season's ticket holder with his cousin Rob. He celebrated the birth of his son with a Pats Super Bowl victory in 2019.

Mark's greatest accomplishments were his three children. He loved cheering for Thea on the soccer field. He was without question the loudest parent on the sidelines. Mark could spend hours doing Legos with Chase. He loved coloring pictures with Cora. Thea, Chase and Cora adored their Dad and couldn't be convinced that he did not hang the moon, the sun and everything in between.

In addition to his grandparents, waiting for Mark are his mother, Helen (Hogan) Christy, his baby girl, his aunt, Sharon (Wilkins) Christy and aunt, Ann Hogan. Mark is survived by his partner in Life, Monopoly and Yahtzee, Jennifer (Neergaard) Christy of Tewksbury, his beautiful children, Thea Theresa (8), Chase John (7) and Cora Lisa (5) Christy, his father, Robert "Bob" Christy of Peabody, his father and mother-in-law, John and Laurel Neergaard of Woburn, his sister-in-law, Marianne Neergaard of Woburn, his uncle, George Christy of Beverly, his cousins, Rob Christy and his wife, Cathy of Salem, NH and their daughters, Lauren and Lila; Jennifer Christy Clark, her son, Brayden and daughter, Bella, and her partner, Phil Galiatsatos of Beverly, Michael Hogan, Ed Hogan, Kathy (Hogan) Fossey and rest of the extended Hogan family.
