DANVERS- Mark A. Perkins, 69, of Danvers, beloved husband of Pamela J. (Watters) Perkins, passed away Thursday, February, 20, 2020 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Charles and Esther (Densmore) Perkins. He was raised and educated in Danvers and Belmont and was a graduate of Belmont High School. Mark continued his education receiving his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Northeastern University and his Master's degree in Business Administration from Boston University.
Mr. Perkins had been employed by Epic Computer Systems for over 20 years consulting with healthcare facilities implementing medical systems. He was well known in the IT community and was often sought after for his expertise.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Mark was truly happiest when surrounded by his family, especially on their many trips to the beach. He fostered many lifelong friendships that began in college with his fraternity brothers in Phi Alpha Rho/Delta Chi. He loved to be surrounded by his family and friends, partaking in sporting events, traveling, golfing, holiday traditions and parties. An avid sports fan Mark especially enjoyed the Patriots and Celtics. The family encourages those attending the Memorial Service to dress in their favorite sports attire.
Surviving Mark, in addition to his wife Pam with whom he shared 45 years of marriage, is his step-father, Welden E. Rogers of Belmont, his daughter, Meredith A. Casey and her husband Ryan of Easton, his son, Gregory M. Perkins and his wife Kristen of Danvers, his five grandchildren, William M. Casey, Quinn E. Casey, Cora J. Casey, Henry P. Perkins and Harlo A. Perkins, his brother-in-law, Terry Watters and his wife Charlotte of Lee's Summit, MO and his niece, Amber Crenshaw and her family of Belton, MO.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service which will be held in Maple Street Congregational Church, Maple St., Danvers on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11 A.M. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Mark's memory to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave., Salem, MA 01970.
