Obituary

DOVER, NEW HAMPSHIRE - Mrs. Mary R. (Taraburelli) (DeAngelis) Penzo, 88 of Dover, New Hampshire, beloved wife of Vincent M. Penzo Sr., passed away on Friday, July 12th, 2024 at Brigham and Women's Hospital, in Boston, following a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Revere, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppi and Josephine (Crivello) Taraburelli. She was raised and educated in Revere and was a graduate of Revere High School. Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Robert J. (Bob) DeAngelis in 1997 after 40 years of marriage.

Mrs. Penzo had been employed as an administrative assistant by the New Hampshire Department of Children and Youth Services for over 18 years, where she was known for her strong work ethic and her generosity towards others. Many of the social workers with whom she worked, fondly thought of Mary as their 2nd mom.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, family was always at the center of Mary's life. She dedicated herself to being the ultimate caregiver, always putting the needs of her loved ones first. Her devotion to her family held no bounds. A social butterfly at heart, Mary effortlessly made friends wherever she went, with her warm personality and touch of stubbornness that endeared her to many. She was truly happiest when surrounded by family and friends cooking and entertaining and being a gracious host. Mary was an active member of the Dover Senior Center, where she found joy in social gatherings and community activities. Mary will be forever remembered for her love of family and her kind and generous spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving Mary, in addition to her beloved husband, Vincent with whom she shared 22 years of marriage, are her daughters, Christine Moffa (DeAngelis) of Danvers, Loren Flansbury and her husband, Dinne of Newburyport, her son, Robert J. DeAngelis, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of New Hampshire, her grandchildren, Anthony Moffa, Aurelio Moffa Jr. and his wife, Amelia (LoBrutto), Louis DeAngelis, Josephine DeAngelis and Alex Flansbury; as well as her step-grandchildren, Maxwell Penzo, Tyler Penzo, Lucas Penzo and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral Mass which will be held at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers on Wednesday, July 17th at 10 AM. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours at O'Donnell Cremations - Funerals - Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS, on Tuesday July 16th from 5 to 7 PM.
