PEABODY – Matthew Francis Wisniewski, 39, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Friday, November 3rd, 2023. Born in Beverly, he was the beloved son of Edward M. and Cynthia L. (Roberts) Wisniewski.
Matthew graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School, class of 2002. Having a love for all sports, he went on to join his high school hockey and football teams. After graduation Matthew furthered his studies at the University of Findley in Ohio. There he became a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity, and his love for college sport grew. Matthew always had a passion for cooking, and soon after his return home from school he began working as a chef in various restaurants throughout the North Shore, the most recent being Legal Seafood in the Lynnfield MarketStreet.
Spirituality was extremely important to Matthew, and he was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Topsfield. He also had a knowledge and love for sports that could go unmatched. Whether it be college or professional sports, Matthew had a passion for it all. He also proudly embraced his familial heritage of Polish and Irish ancestry.
In addition to his parents, Edward and Cynthia Wisniewski, he is survived by his siblings; Lauren Wisniewski, Michael Wisniewski and his wife, Jennifer, Amanda Wisniewski, and Leighann Bosco and her husband, Joseph, as well as his maternal grandparents; Frank and Phyllis Roberts, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Stanley and Theresa Wisniewski.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Matthew's Celebration of Life Service, which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS, MA on Friday, November 10th at 6 P.M. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 4 to 6 P.M. The family requests that in honor to Matthew's love for sports, please wear some form of sports attire for the services.
