LYNNFIELD – Mr. Minh Hao Vo, 60, of Lynnfield, beloved husband of Diep Ngoc Ngo, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, August 3, 2020.

Born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam, he was the son of the late Hoi Van Vo and Thu Ha Thi Tran.  In 1980, the United States Navy rescued his family from the South China Sea and brought them to refugee camps in the Philippines.  Ever since, he has always felt a deep sense of gratitude to the US Navy for their kindness in his family's time of need.

A few months after entering the United States, by way of North Carolina, Minh settled down in Massachusetts, and most recently as a Lynnfield resident.  Together with his wife, who was his partner in all aspects of his life, they founded Fine Mart Convenience Store in 1991 and Stop & Wash in 1995 in Everett.  Their continued successes allowed them to expand by breaking ground in Chelsea and opening Fine Mart Convenience Store #3 and Stop & Wash #2, with the support of his brother-in-laws in 1998.  As an entrepreneur, Minh saw his business ventures as opportunities to give back to the community.

A devoted husband and father, he raised his daughters as independent women; his tireless dedication and hard work afforded them the ability to achieve success in their higher education and careers.  Minh will be remembered as a loyal, generous, and loving friend.  He had the uncanny ability to bring people together through laughter.  Distinct, vibrant, and infectious, his laughter brought joy to everyone around him.

As the patriarch of his family, Minh is survived by his loving wife, Diep Ngoc Ngo and his daughters, Linda Vo, Tammy Thien Vo and Lillian Thien Vo, all of Lynnfield; his sisters, Hong Anh Vo and her husband, Thang Van Le of Lynn, Hong Nhan Vo and her husband, Bich Truong of Quincy, Hong Lien Vo and her husband, Hoang Nguyen of South Carolina, Hong Thanh Vo and her husband, Pierre Guillet of Paris, France, Hong Nga Vo of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Hong Nhung Vo of North Carolina and Hong Van Vo and her husband, Tuan Quach of North Carolina; his brother, Kiet Hao Vo and his wife Dung Tran of Saugus; his many nieces, nephews, extended family; and friends.
