Obituary

HAMILTON- Mrs. Mona Fleming (Tait) Barry 90 of Danvers, formerly of Hamilton, beloved wife of the late William R. Barry Jr. died Sunday evening, April 14th, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a short illness. Born in St. Lambert Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late John L.M. and Jean (Smith) Tait. She was raised and educated in Quebec and immigrated to the United States residing in Hamilton since 1951. Mrs. Barry had been employed as a customer service representative at the Salem Five Banking Institution in Hamilton for over 25 years until the time of her retirement.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mona had been a resident of the Town of Hamilton for 60 years until recently moving to Danvers. A long time dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church in Hamilton. Mona dedicated much of her time and effort to the life of the church. She was the treasurer of the church for many years and also devoted her time and effort to the choir of the church. Mona loved to spend time with her family. She was an avid bridge player, knitted and was a diehard Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. Her gracious and kind nature will be her lasting hallmarks for years to come. She will be deeply missed. Mona is survived by her daughters Donna J. Ellison and her husband David K. of Danvers and Jean E. Barry of Half Moon Bay, California, her son, Kenneth T. Barry Sr. and his wife Sandra of Scottsdale, Az, her grandchildren, David K. Ellison Jr. and Barry M. Ellison, William Barry III and Meaghan Barry, Jake Edinger, Kenneth T. Barry Jr, Kevin Barry, Elijah Abramson, Isiah Abramson, Elyse Abramson and Olivia Abramson, her four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Jack Tait.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service will be held in the First United Methodist Church, 391 Bay Road, Hamilton, Thursday at 10 A.M. Visiting hours omitted. Burial is private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte. 62) Danvers. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Mona's memory to the First United Methodist Church, 391 Bay Road, Hamilton, 01936.
